Virtual Behavior Consulting with a Certified Trainer

We’re here to help, wherever you are, whenever works for your busy schedule.

Why choose virtual training?

  • Flexibility

You’re busy, and I get that! Meeting virtually allows for greater scheduling flexibility- no making room for drive time and no rush to get out of the house! Simply set up in your home with some basic training supplies and a good internet connection- and relax! You’re in good hands here.

  • Comfort

Not only is meeting in your home virtually potentially more comfortable for you, but it could also ease some of your dog’s stress! Some dogs aren’t comfortable being loaded up and driven somewhere for training, or aren’t ready for a stranger to come in to their space to meet. Or maybe the problems you’re experiencing are only happening in the context of your home. Some behavior issues are better treated virtually that with in-person services. Ask us for examples if you’re not sure!

  • Convenience and Learning Styles

Some people (including myself) have found many virtual alternatives to services to be more convenient for their lives. Think about how popular virtual therapy sessions for humans are becoming!

Virtual sessions may allow for better processing of information that your trainer is giving you. Think about how distracting handling your dog can be when out and about- whether that’s due to excitement or potential reactivity. It’s hard to learn when your focus is elsewhere! Also, some people learn and focus better in a virtual space, and if that’s you- our services are perfect for you.

But… don’t you need to get your hands on the dog to actually train them?

Not necessarily.

When working with dog guardians, my goal is not necessarily for me to train the dog myself. My end goal is always to teach you- the human- how to train your own dog! I can’t always be there with you out in the real world moments with your canine companion, so I want to make sure you’re able to handle those moments confidently. My years of counseling experience will help me to effectively coach you so that you can reach your goals with your pup.

All training packages come with a customized training plan that you can follow- with my guidance and troubleshooting.

Getting Started

FIRST STEP: FREE 15-Minute Intro Call

We always start with an initial phone call. Why?

This brief conversation gives us a chance to get to know your situation, and what you’re seeking help with. That way we can get a good idea of your goals and what program would be a good fit for you. It also allows you to ask pressing questions and get an idea of what training could look like moving forward. We do not provide training during this phone call, unless there is an imminent safety risk (in which case we will give advice for immediate management strategies until further training).

The point of this phone call is the learn about you and your dog!

NEXT: Schedule your Initial Consultation ($75)

Once we’ve decided you’re a good fit for our training program, the next step is an initial consultation. Here we dig a little deeper into the problems you’re experiencing, and get a clear picture of what your goals are. This gives us the information we need to design a custom training plan for you, as well as decide the training package that fits best with your needs. We will provide first resources and education as well. Some training may take place during this consultation, but the main goal is to identify the first steps needed to reach your behavior goals!

THEN: Dive in to a Training Package (see below)

This is where most of the actual hands-on training and education happens!

You will work one-on-one with a certified behavior consultant. Sessions will include demonstrations, answering questions, giving feedback on hands-on training with your dog, and more.

Email and text support between sessions is included with all of our packages.
